As Childfree adults, we are a growing segment of the population but clearly still a minority that is often misunderstood. We rarely have the opportunity to talk about our experiences, how we ended up not having kids and some of the unique frustrations we face in a family-focused society. We frequently feel like the odd man out and wonder if we are somehow different.

I Don’t Have Kids, The Guide to Great Childfree Living offers childfree adults the opportunity to hear the highly personal stories of others, including my own, and to gain useful information on how to deal with problems faced as a result of being childfree. It goes behind the scenes to explore the psychological processes influencing individual decisions and interpretations of life situations. The book also offers the adult who is contemplating whether or not to have children an unbiased inside perspective on what a life without kids entails. The focus of the book is on acceptance of one’s situation and finding ways to have the richest life possible.
